How often do you clean under the bed?
Having been called out to a house clearance in Wellingborough, we set about the usual task of removing unwanted furniture, principally old wardrobes, the beds etc. In the main bedroom we lifted a divan style bed only to find a significant layer of dust and three coins – a decimal two pence piece, a decimal half pence and a Roman coin! A Roman coin? How long had that been there? We would guess that the presence of the half pence coin would suggest that this particular bed had not been cleaned under for some good long while but probably within the last two thousand years! The coin is that pictured.
